cap wanted

OEM plastic caps will necessarily be 45 years old, will be brittle and are available on many 'other' cars in breakers yards. If you buy something else, caps are often free. Our car came with black/gray ATS caps in 1980 and when one split, I replaced it with an aluminum one from Pegasus Auto Racing in WI, USA. The caps are pretty much universal- the aluminum caps also fits Girling clutch masters.

It is just as likely a used plastic part on eBay will be in the same brittle condition as the one you just broke!

if you don't mind not going back to stock then the after market ones are fine.i have several original ones that don't seem to be brittle but they are not cheap.the one i have on ebay is like new.
