The Fun Begins

Sat., March 15
Depart all gateways.

Sun., March 16
Arrive in Milan. Sunday is a free day to adjust from jet lag. Note breakfast is included at this hotel and all of our hotels, so please feel free to have breakfast.

6:30 p.m. - The kick-off group reception. Meet-and-mix cocktail hour will be held at the hotel in the breakfast area. Dinner is on your own at one of the many ristorantes within easy walking distance in the area. I'll try to have a list of recommendations.

Mon., March 17
8:57 a.m. - Alfa Romeo Museum & Alfa Centro Stile

11:30 a.m. - Lunch in the Country. After Lunch, tour of Zagato Design and Zagato restorations. Pick up rental car at Malpensa Airport. Drive to Turin.

5:30 p.m. - Meet a the bar down on the corner.

Tue., March 18
11:00 a.m. - Pininfarina Collection Depart on bus to Pininfarina Design Center. Lunch in downtown Torino.

1:30 p.m. - Depart on bus for Lancia with special guest Mike Robinson, Director of Lancia Stile.

3:30 p.m. - Museum del'Automobile with Carlo Biscaretti di Ruffia (Torino).

4:30 p.m. - Tom Tjaarda studio. Shopping on Via Roma in downtown Torino.

Wed., March 19
8:57 a.m. - ItalDesign. Depart in convoy. Bertone Design Center. Lunch in small country ristorante.

3:00 p.m. - I.DE.A. Design Studio. Optional: S.A.L.T. and a visit with Sig. Franco Gavina, the Michael Jordan of interiors.

Thu., March 20
Up early and drive to Modena.

12:00 p.m. - Meet up for Lunch at Cavalino in Maranello. After lunch, browse and shopping at Formula 1 and Warm Up. Visit the official Ferrari Galleria Museum and the newest Ferrari Factory Store.

3:00 p.m. - Ferrari Factory Tour (for those who own Ferraris and who have letters). Meet at designated bar for drinks, then shop in Modena. Dinner at Danilo's, Finn's or great little pizzerias (Grotino's) down the street.

Fri., March 21
9:30 a.m. - Lamborghini Factory.

2:00 p.m. - Maserati Factory.

4:00 p.m. - Pagani. Meet at designated "Bar Drogi" for drinks, then shopping in downtown Modena.. Shops close at 7:30 p.m. Look for great men's clothing; try Zanolini's, which is around the corner next to the bank. They were the official clothier of the Mille Miglia and I think you'll find their prices to be a bargain. Car models. Specialty foods. Ladies, you will find Modena to be an absolute gold mine of high quality bargains, from rare fabrics to kitchen utensils, high fashion clothing, intimate apparel, household furnishings. Modena has it all. Dinner in central Modena.

Sat., March 22
Free time. Modena Flea Market, or consider a day trip to Florence or Venice.
Please note: In previous years most people left most of their luggage in the room at the Modena Hotel and traveled light to Florence or Venice.

Sun., March 23
Free time. Enjoy a walk around Modena and have a good look at the architecture. Or you could take the high-speed train for a day trip to Florence or Venice. Hotel in Modena.

Mon., March 24
8:45 a.m. - Depart hotel.

9:20 a.m. - Autosport restorations.

11:00 a.m. - Stanguellini Museum.

12:30 p.m. - Lunch at the famous Lauros on Viale Ciro Menotti.

2:20 p.m. - Schedoni, leather goods manufacturer for Ferrari, Maserati and other world-class automobile companies.

3:00 p.m. - Visit to Edonis Factory.

4:45 p.m. - Nuova Lunelli, vintage parts machine shop, or Coloti transmission. Meet at a designated bar for drinks and then shopping in downtown Modena.

Tue., March 25
8:45 a.m. - DeTomaso Automobili factory tour. They have a good Gift Shop.

11:00 a.m. - Maserati collection. Visit the incredible Maserati collection of Umberto and Matteo Panini. Lunch in the mall - you have got to see this place!

2:30 p.m. - Mario Righini. Convoy to the incredible private collection of Mario Righini, one of Italy's finest.

4:30 p.m. - Optional visit the Modena Ferrari & Maserati dealer.

5:00 p.m. - Brandoli Restoration Shop. Meet in the bar. Shopping until 7:30 p.m. Awards reception and roast in hotel bar.

Wed., March 26
Up early. Check out, depart for Milan airport. Stop for coffee on the autostrada. Follow signs to Malpensa. Please be sure to allow plenty of time (3 hrs) for the drive to the airport.
