Long story that would need to be on another thread maybe in the chassis section.

Along with the original intent of the entire new platform design,(you commented about the first prototype) I had hoped to offer a rear replacement section for cars that were so rusty, standard repairs were not be economically feasible---the section below. It was designed to take original sheet-metal, gas tank, motor mounts, suspension, so on as a stock configured replacement sub-frame pictures below. More ambition than money---same-old////same-old

Use a good clear right after the box is freshly finished and make sure it is very clean and dry. Do not over clear it---less is more in this case. If you environment is dry, aluminum raw is fine---use wax and grease remover to keep the case clean and it will not hurt the other paint around it but it will attack undercoating. I have an adjustable hand pump sprayer to mist on the paint-prep solvent---works fantastic to keep oily mist and finger prints under control.
