I ahve done some checking, and it seems so far that my choices are these:

1. the Avaiad available from most of the vendors for about $425;
2. Armondo's Racing Oil Pans specifically for the Pantera $385;
3. Road & Track oil pan from P.I. about $425;
4. The Milodon for the 351 C available from Summitt Racing for about $275.

I would appreciate hearing from the people who have used the various ones with any particular pros or cons for each.

Thanks.

Gary,
Just got done installing one of Armando's pans on my rebuilt engine in #5042. Very well made with excellent craftsmanship & should keep the oil where it's supposed to be under any any kind of circumstances! I highly recommend it!

The 10/9 I send a mail question to Armando.
Asking for his motivation to use a 10-quart oil pan.

In my opinion...
There are no such things as "the best solutions". Everything must be made to suit a specific purpose.
My point is that 10-quart is too much oil in the pan for street use. Especially during shorter driving distances, since the oil does not reach operating temperature very fast.

The oil quantities used by the engine should be something like 1/2-1 quart. The remaining 9-quart should be in the PAN. If more, we got a BAD oil pan design, that cant keep the oil away from the rotating assembly. And we can loose up to 20 hp that will be converted to heat. In the theory, it should be enough to have 1 quart left in the pan, for the pickup. But this takes a seriously good pan-baffling design. One way to get around a not so good oil pan is to use more oil. That way we are on the safe side.

To me it only looks like there is some kind of "racing image" using large quantities of oil in the pan.
And from the pan builder, an easy way of getting a not so good pan design, to get safe.

Goran Malmberg.
