Just as a reminder… this was the car I bought in November… at least I think it is.. the yellow Panteras look all the same..

And then I did pedalbox and masters, changed the original frunk to that IMG_0344

then brakes and bushings IMG_0284

Fuel filler alsoIMG_0969

WheelsIMG_0484

comfort items like heater, A/C and powersteering IMG_1195

Accompanied by redoing electrical wiring, windows and headlight motors and complete cooling system upgrades IMG_1121

and replacing the original interior with leather - not in blackIMG_1143

and a bunch of other little things that just needed attention… and everything i did I posted on this forum… (big thank you to everyone helping… thank you guys!!!! 👍🙏)

now, i still have a few threads open… open as in unfinished work but the car is like a big puzzle and I work on different places on the car and in the end they merge…

i am getting close to the merging point..

the biggest obstacle is… ME! (I wanna do this or that before I button up…) and at the same time I want to get this car to the Palooza in Irvine on 5-18 !
I did set my timeline to end of April and I did fail quite obviously!

but I got 18 days to go … to run….

the car will be there…. Hopefully all done and pretty….

You are absolutely right. In my own defense, my back has been in total failure mode for the last couple of years. I Just got it fixed, but at this point, I’m hiring out  and talking my wife into drilling the occasional hole.  It’s not going so well! Another six weeks until I’m able to bend, lift and twist.

This won’t mean anything to most, but I built a boat in Burt Rutan’s shop out in the Mojave back in the late 80s. I’m met many of the big players. Actually worked on the Pond racer for a little bit.

when you can, some mounting pics for the low headlights

M8 threaded hole and  8mm hole.. 1”x1” aluminum

the angle of the mounting happens when you turn the light to be parallel with the front of the car… otherwise, it would look like a pug dog 😂IMG_1406

doing it this way saves one additional bracket.. (because of the angled body)

Nice clearance of the radiator intake area!

I would not have done the lights if they would have obstructed the airflow to the radiator… that was priority #1!!!

Also they had to be high enough not to touch the curb when parking or going up my driveway… and they needed to be as close to the body as possible for looks…   Essentially, this is the only place where they would fit properly!       ( they are only 5” in diameter)

I don’t think it would look right on a chrome bumper car!

sorry, i m not seeing where and how the lights are attacked to car.

installing some "DayLight driving" lights is top of my want list.   That looks approaite and good!   Not blocking radiator.   I would like to copy

9 days to go and it looks like you are going to waltz it in well in time !

I tell you… I am pushing hard… every day … still have to finish electrical inside, fuel lines and new pump, more electrical inside, ZF oil change, alignment, whole interior and the engine hasn’t run yet..

Also I’m doing the new design for the decals outside.. and waiting till the last day to put them on so the new paint has time to dry fully!

I am bringing the car… no matter what!mceclip0

Roland, Thank you for working so hard to get it done for the Pantera Palooza.  It is going to be a great event.  We have sixty (60) DE Tomaso vehicles that has signed up with (3) Mangustas and (57) Panteras with a few of day entry.  If you need some help, let me know and I come up and help.  Call me if needed.
