I was putting my new ss slave on and the slave rod is too long. The adj. nut is all the way down and the piston is all the way in. Can the clutch arm be moved back two or three splines. Right now it straight up. What is the correct position for the arm or does it matter. It is the standerd one not long throw.

If the old rod is shorter, you could try that one rather than moving the arm on the splined shaft.
