I was wanting to talk with someone who has instaled a new clutch mastercyc. with a long throw slave. I was told to stick to orig. parts because they work best. Is this true? They also said that the new one make the clutch harder to push in. If anyone has anything about this plz. let me know. Can I use my stock master with a long throw slave or should I get a wilwood 7/8 clutch master?Any help would be great. thanks.....

I installed a long throw, stainless steel slave. The pedal effort is a bit higher but not at all hard.I have a Centerforce clutch which helps in that area.I use the stock master w/no problems.I bought it from Pantera East and the quality is outstanding!IMHO you can't beat it.My only regret is that I didn't change it before it started pouring fluid at Pocono this year.
Hope this helps
I had a hell of a time with mine, but found that all I needed to do was change the master cylinder. Check the previous post "Master Cylinder" dated 10/21/01. I was given the same advice you heard about the aluminum master, and was told basically to stay away from it. However, some have had no problems at all. I now have a stock master and a long throw and it works fine. I also found that one of those small lights that strap to your head makes it real easy to see when working upside down under your dash in that damn cramped area.
