Hi all,
After my last outing, on the freeway home I noticed some slight 'grabbing'/'sticking'/'gripping' in the clutch pedal that had not been there before. I had pulled medium strongly through the gears getting on the freeway, not anywhere near redline mind you, but enough to keep a souped up infiniti from passing me on the inside. The clutch master cylinder is full but I have never felt this very slight sticking before. I have a new slave cylinder and plan on replacing the master cylinder and all the lines in the near future (but not now)but assuming some air is in the line or the fluid has absorbed some water over time, do you think replacing the fluid is the best next step or are there any other measures you think I ought to check/do? Also, I note that the master cylinder cap calls for DOT 4 fluid which has a higher boiling point than DOT 3, but will that really matter if not running hard on a track?
Thanks,
Paul

Check your slave cylinder components to see that your dowel or bolt ( connecting to the clutch fork )holding in the adjustable slave trunnion , this can cause it to be misaligned or crooked on the slave (if the bolt or dowel has come loose or hanging halfway out) and cause your symptoms.like sticking on release of the pedal.
