Can anyone tell me if I can use a stock clutch release bearing with a Centerforce clutch? I have a long throw slave cylinder if that makes a difference.
I have a Centerforce clutch with the stock throwout bearing and a long throw slave cylinder and it works fine. The Centerforce does require more travel to disengage than the 3 finger type. My Centerforce wouldn't disengage until I installed the long throw slave cylinder. I machined .200 off the carrier that holds the bearing so I would have a little more clearance when the clutch is engaged but I don't think it was actually needed.
