Restoring #2034, lots of electrical gremlins. So, the interior is bare, the heater box is moved down, and I’m going through each of the pieces of the wiring loom line by line at this point. This is what the back of the gauge loom looks like (fuel, temp, volt, oil) with a missing wire. This connector is on the gauge side, not the main loom portion (obviously). Can any one tell me what wire is missing and what it may go to? No great diagrams of this detail on line that I can find. Thanks.

one connecter hole is not used

Well that’s good to know. Someone had something jammed in there pretty good (carbon scoring and all). There was a terminal stuck in there w/a very short frayed wire sticking out of it …but clearly led to nothing.
With that said. I have a recently installed an air ride system (RideTech). Single tank, dual compressors. All up and running, but not wired yet to the ignition switch. Seeing as this portion of the harness obviously comes alive w/the first detent of the key, couId I just wire that into the empty connector spot?
why wold you use the empty connector spot, all the wires from the switches are single , or bundled by switch , and connected directly on the switches.
where have you planned to locate the airride switch ?
the switch location on the lowest position ?

Need to very careful with this. As I recall all of these circuits pass through the ignition switch which is NOT capable of handling large loads. Do the compressors use a relay? If not, they should.
That last reply about the switches was a bit confusing, probably just me. Simon, when you refer to the “switch at the lowest position,” are you referring to the bottom switch on the center console? Also, there is a relay connected to the air ride setup.
Yes I mean the bottom switch.
