I pulled apart the front and rear coil overs on my 73 pantera to refurbish (sand blast and paint) them and noticed that the front coils were slightly smaller and thinner than the rear coils.
I have refurbished 5 or 6 sets of these coil overs in the past, but have not noticed that the fronts were ever smaller than the rear.
I am pretty sure the others I have done have the same heavy duty thick coils all the way around. Should the fronts be the same as the backs?
The car sat pretty even and stock looking. In fact both front and rear coil overs had the factory 1 inch spacer still on the shock (which I would normally take out)
Should I hunt down another set of thick springs for the front or leave it alone?
