Peter,
I understand you are the Guru for GT5's and I was hoping you could tell me how to identify what is the original color of #9191. Of course it's yellow now, restored between 8 & 12 years ago, nicely done, it was completely dismantled, all undercoat removed and repainted black etc. that said it would be a slim chance to dig and find traces of original color, which may be yellow. Any sugestions?
thanks
Daniel

Easiest thing to try is, look at the exposed chassis metal under the dash.
Next, pull the interior firewall cover off and see what color the interior side of the firewall is.
Next, try to pull up some carpet and look at the floor pans...but be VERY careful doing this...if your carpet is glued down, you may pull the pile through the backing and then you'll be very mad at me for suggesting it!
A more difficult place to check is the area below the headlight buckets.
There are probably other good suggestions, but these come to mind.
Good luck, Mooso.
Daniel:

The body colour tag, which is a sticker, was affixed to the front of the car under the front trunk lid near the driver's side hinge. However, since your car has been repainted, it's almost certain the body shop will not have taken the trouble to remove and replace it.

One way to know for sure is to get the build sheet from the factory. I've been trying to get mine for a couple of years with no success, but maybe you will have better luck.
