As most of you already know, the Concorso is moving to a new, bigger and better location this year. At PI, we value this show because we see so many great DeTomaso enthusiasts and phenomenal cars. This isn't a full-tilt Concours but rather a presentation that includes every Pantera of any condition from wash 'n wax to trailer queen(room permitting). PI will have our booth at this year's show and a lot of surprises, especially since this is the 100th year of Ford + being the featured marque at Laguna Seca Historics. The event is August 15, 2003 and the new venue is sensational, overlooking scenic Monterey Bay. PI had a convention at this same location in the eighties and we loved it. The organizers, Francis and Janet Mandarano have even come up with an Italian Burn Out type opportunity. Although we don't want a ZF to scatter, you can actually take your car to a designated area and fry some rubber. I know there are some bad boy Ferrari's at this event, but when it comes to tire smokin' madness, the Pantera is going to rule the roost. I think it is a neat idea that the organizers are letting down their hair and trying something radical like this. Should make some great photos!
