Should there be coolant in the line from the thermostat to the expansion tank when the engine is cold? My guage is always showing between 195 to about 215, best guess, Vegalia guage with Pantera Electronics adapter.
I think you mean thermostat to pressure tank and the answer is “yes”, there should be coolant in that hose when the engine is cold. If you meant the hose from the pressure tank to the expansion tank, the answer is also “yes”; there should be coolant in that hose too.
