I have 5 different switch locations running down my gauge console. My wiring diagram shows 5 but the bottom one looks like a blank position. I assume that this bottom switch is for the manual cooling fan switch. My wiring is all cobbled up. Am I right that this is the cooling fan switch. Can anyone tell me what color wires to look for up front. Is it a power or ground side switch?

The bottom switch on my 74 L is a blank "dummy" switch. You could use the position for anything. As far as the cooling fan wires go, I have no idea. My car does not overheat and I have no idea if the fans even work. I am operating on the "if it aint broke , don't fix it" principal when it comes to the cooling system.
Captain,
THIS SWITCH IS USED ALOT TO INSTALL AS A BYPASS TO THE TEMP SWITCH ON THE RADIATOR.
SO IF YOU WANT TO USE IT THIS WAY YOU WILL SPLICE INTO THE HOT SIDE GOING INTO THE TEMP SWITCH AT THE RADIATOR OR AT A HOT POINT ON THE FUSE BLOCK. THEN YOU WANT TO SPLICE INTO THE OPPOSITE SIDE OF THE RADIATOR TEMP SWITCH, WHICH LEADS TO THE 2 RELAYS, TO TURN THESE ON.
NOW YOU HAVE MANUAL OVERRIDE.
