I'll try to get some pics tonight. You might want to rethink getting the A-arms/sway bar chromed. The chroming process causes embrittlement of the metal which can result in premature failure, especially if you drive the car hard. Powder painting may be a better option, besides, its easier to maintain, you don't have to worry so much about rock dings and whatnot.
Dennis,

Just to tag onto what others have said, the powedercoating people have a powder available now that looks like polished aluminum, a nice option rather than having parts chromed.

My antisway bar had a "brite" finish to it, it was that way when I bought the car, but it's not chrome, possibly cad plating. It was looking grimy so I cleaned it with scotch brite and now its a dull satin finish! Doh! If it had been chrome, the scotch brite would not have dulled it like that.

Cool!
Just wondering if it's is ok to lift the car up without the bar for the jack.
I have both stands so i can do the same job but without the bar.
This won't affect the car will it, cause Im probably going to have it up on the stands for a while till I get the A frames and sway bar plated as george said.. Big Grin

The bar is a good idea, but I haven't gotten around to fabbing one myself, I still jack it up without a bar. The crossmember is pretty narrow, so the issue is fitting your floor jack & a jack stand on either side all under the crossmember.

Be sure to place a chock in front of one of the front tires, to prevent the car from rolling forward.

Dennis,

I jack my Pantera up from the middle of that crossmember without the bar, or the cup that comes on the floorjack. It just fits under that way. When I had the stock 15" wheels on, I couldn't fit the floorjack under that rear crossmember at all. I usually place the jackstands a little further up the frame rails, clearing the floorjack's wheels.

GEORGE! You better watch out for that chrome. Those schotch brite will in fact dull, scratch and ruin your chrome.( if you don't belive me, take an old peice of chrome out back and scuff it} I have had many instaces and found out the hard way. Glass too, It will scuff the crap out of it. I only use it on surfaces I intend to paint.
