Cracked side cover

I dropped my ZF today and cracked the side cover (opposite the shifter). Can this cover be removed without a problem so I can either epoxy it or have it weld?

Roughly this is how I remember the fine hairline crack. Trans fell on corner of cover. crack starts at impact then curves till meets the flange. Can the cover be removed without issues?

There's nothing inside here but a spring and washers at the end of the shaft. Easy to remove this cover. But you'll need a new gasket. Cover can be fixed or replaced. Available from any of the vendors. I'll email you a pic of the exploded view.
