I will start by saying ..when ever you weld a crack .. you have to find the ends of the cracks ... drill a hole at the end to stop it from continuing and then heat it up with a torch and then TIG weld it.

I;m going with that with out asking the questions of has everything else been installed properly ???

Where is the bell housing cracking ??

I can't ever remember this being a problem on the cars. Course, at my age, I sometimes can't remember to zip up my fly, but that's another story.

What Ron said above is important, especially the heating up part. It needs to be really hot, like almost red hot.
