My dist has crept clockwise on 2 occasions. I have returned it where it runs best. I am having trouble getting the hold down bolt tight enough to hold it. Anybody got any trick besides taking out the bulkhead cover?

It may not be the distributer, but the roll pin inside that mates up to the cam. I heard they can creep just before they let go.

Well you could install a Chevy then you would not have to remove the bulkhead. LOL...

Is the issue that you can't easily get a wrench on the hold-down bolt? If so, try this crow-foot on a 12" 3/8 extension. Good luck.
