My wife spotted two cameos of a red Pantera with a wing on a PBS "Masterpiece Mystery" show this evening. The episode was "Inspector Lewis, Series III: Counterculture Blues, 2010".

And yet another movie with a Pantera is coming out this Friday, March 4. Yellow #4357 is in "Take Me Home Tonight", with Topher Grace and Anna Faris. It was filmed here in Phoenix, and I got to hang around the set. Better see it quick, it will go to DVD in about three days. Worst movie since "Killer Tomatoes". -Steve

Could be, although I don't recall that one, but Banacek (George Peppard) did drive a yellow one! -Steve

I know it isn't technically a Pantera in a film, but the film Caddyshack featured the Kenny Loggins song 'Mr. Night' with the line
"You need this drivin' fool to Detomaso the night away
Detomaso a ride away" (whatever that means)
- The song also appeared in the TV show Family Guy where they did a tribute/rip-off/parody of the Caddyshack scene where the song was used.

My dad purchased an 84 GT5 in 2006 and the story with the car was that it was in the pilot of the TV show Hunter. We have watched the episode and it does not appear. I do see in your link that a white GT5 is labeled as being in the TV show (3 pictures). What episode is it? Does anyone know? The story matches. As we were told, the TV people took off the lettering trying to fool the public that it was a Countach. After they were done shooting the car was completely repainted and lettering put back on, as it wears today. Any help finding video of this would be much appreciated. Thanks again for posting the pics and helping me document the story that came with the car.

I just noticed it says 2.07 which we translated to episode 7 of season two. Much to my dismay it doesn't appear the story holds water as it is pretty clear from the video that the car has white interior, and my dad's has burgundy.
