Very individual but too much 'bling-bling'
Agreed.
That was just one of the areas I discussed for about half an hour with their chief marketing officer. He told me that (much like the current Ford GT) each individual car will be personalized according to the wishes of each buyer.
The copper/gold wheels actually worked with the color on the car but I don’t think all car colors could carry that wheel color with similar success.
The gold tone on the mirrors and interior surely had that show car bling and honestly seemed to conflict with the overall character of the car....IMHO. 😉

The color combo reminds me of an old pantera show car called Pure Gold.
As Larry said, I would bet that a customer could order the car with just polished brightwork parts, instead of gold anodized if he/she preferred.
Also, I know the design, and especially the rear end is polarizing, but I happen to like it. There is no way this will be mistaken for another current supercar. Also, having a proper, three pedal manual transmission is pretty cool too.

BTW, what do you all think these buttons are for?
AC = Air Cond.
Lift = Raise and lower the car?
R = Race? Reverse? why in a Manual transmission?
N = Neutral? Also seems unnecessary in a manual transmission car
P = Parking Brake?
With the early morning fog and cloud cover the car appeared to be a very nice candy apple red, for lack of a better or proper name. But in the afternoon after the sun came out, the true character of the paint became apparent.
While this paint scheme echoed the gold trim details of the car by utilizing a gold tone metallic, like the other aspects on each individual’s car, the details will be selected by each buyer.

That is actually a Ford Skyliner.
What engine is in it?
Did you just look at the pretty pictures and not read the text ?

Slightly off-topic but what ever became of PURGOLD? I always enjoyed seeing it at Southern California shows. Most thought the gold was gaudy but it actually played nicely in person. Bonus points for the 4-cam 4.6 for the engine.
