Let's try an optimistic (naive?) view. Benefit of the doubt...

They presented the Deauville. The world didn't exactly line up to buy it. So if they produced it, it might mean bankruptcy. Then comes along some people with money wanting it. They sell it, and that way get another chance, hopefully for a great Pantera? Business necessity...

We discuss these people as if we think they should be passionate car people willing to risk it all for the DeTomaso brand. And when they don't, we call them crooks trying to get government money. Those are two extremes on a scale, maybe they're somewhere in between, trying to make ends meet, pay their workers etc.? The financial crisis makes everything harder...

We'll see what happens. The only thing I hope is that if they produce a Pantera, that it's worth its name...
