Hi, the distance between wheel and wheel house in the rear is different on my Pantera, approx 1". The ZF is located exact in the middle and I can't measure a different between driver and co driver distance. Any idea where it is coming from ? To mount different size of spacer seems not a good idea.(I didn't get the pictire below 1MB.... thanks,
Uli

Panteras were hand-assembled, then welded in steel jigs at the factory, so its hard to understand how a structural part (in a monococque, all body parts are structural) could be added 1" off. The only time I've seen this is with a crash repair where someone didn't check closely before welding new or replacement parts in. And heaven knows that a LOT can happen- good and bad- to a car in 45 years. Undercoating can hide such weld additions.
I think that you need to put it up on a body shop "rack".

There you can accurately determine what is not right.

You really want to space out the upper and lower control arms IF POSSIBLE rather then space out the wheel.

If you don't do this right, the car is going to feel like it wants to go sideways all of the time.

It might even be that when the car is on the "machine" it might still be possible to "pull it out" 1".

That machine really does remarkable work and has saved many bent chassis'.
