Today was "Disturb the Peace" day in my neighborhood as my sleepy hood was invaded by Ford V8s. This was possibly the 2nd or 3rd Sunday that was pretty nice weather and even still it rained for 10 minutes.

David & Carmen blew in from Montreal (what would take me 2 hours each way was around 1.5 for them) and we were joined by Denis with his awesome Mangusta and some GT40 friends of mine. Everyone got along great and I haven't even had any official complaints from my neighbors!

It was great to see everyone again and meet the new GT40 dudes. The colours and sounds of those unique beasts was something indeed.

But the best part of our cars is driving them. And the ride to and from Ottawa was awesome. Fast. Fun. No traffic. And no tickets!

And what a cool surprise it was to see Denis and his Mangusta sitting under an overpass as we stormed by. We drove the last 10 miles or so to Marks together. It's a sweet ride and looks great on the road. And so does Carmen's new yellow / black paint job - like a mad yellow shark.

Heading back home, we all cruised to the highway out of town together. It was a chance to see how fast Mark's GT40 really is. We were neck and neck each time we tried eachother. Mark claims he had 200 lbs of passenger weight and "wasn't really trying." But I actually "let him go first" each time, figuring I could cruise by at will.

To be continued...
