Do I have stock rotors?

The stock rotors are solid . Front and back.

If you still have stock 15" Campy wheels, someone may have replaced the stock rotors with vented Mustang rotors at some point.

Thanks! That's what I thought, but the Orange parts book shows a vented disc picture, but then the part description says, "non-vented," my car has vented...I was confused!

That makes sense; I'll bet that's exactly what happened.

According to some sources, a 'few' early cars- (maybe 5 or 6 out of 6000 built) got prototype vented rotors from the factory. No one knows for sure what their serials were and I've never seen one... nor has anyone I ever met. It may be a myth so your rotors are likely added on, but that doesn't mean they should be thrown away.

Vented stock-sized front rotors with everything else stock will stabilize under hard driving at a lower temp than with stock solid rotors. How low? Maybe 100 degrees F less- not enough to make the car into a pro road-racer but enough to be noticable in fast mountain driving.

Note that about 65% of a Pantera's braking is done with the fronts, and also that vented REAR rotors are far from a bolt-on but it can be done, to help a little more- again, only in repeated hard braking.
