So guys (and gals) tell me honestly, do you think its time I retire the 33 year old cooling system in 6018 and get to work installing the one-off new system I engineered for it?

Don't know if I'll be done in time for the Fun Rally, but I don't think 6018 will make it on the old system.

George,

The wheels look great, how do those 25 profile tires feel on the bumps?

Definitely time my friend to fix the cooling system, but I don't want to hear no excuses, the magazine only needs mailing and Vegas is almost 6 weeks away. What's to replace? A few hoses, ss pipes and the radiator right? Hell, throw out an invitation with free pizza and you should have no end of willing helpers in that neck of the woods. Time to give something back to the man that gives us so much, if I was a bit closer I'd be knocking on your door right now.

What's the World coming too, if the President of Pantera Interntaional shows up at one of the premiere Pantera events Panteraless....unthinkable.

Julian
George, now that the magazine is off your plate for a bit, you'll find the time. No way you'll disappoint all the people in Vegas by not bringing the silver bullet! I love the new wheels. I must say, for an old cowboy, that's a lot of bling! Big Grin

Good luck with the repairs. I wish I was there to help, I could use the sun and warm weather!
Your past posts have hinted at a one tank swirl/recovery system with other mods. I'm looking forward to seeing the upgrades you've been considering, put to use.
I'm no engineer, so I need to stand on the shoulders of Giants, or forever stand in the shadows...or in other words...I wait until better minds work out the kinks and then glom on to their hard work for myself!
Looking forward to your progress on the new system.

The tires are Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 in sizes:

Front: 245/35ZR18 mounted on a 18" x 9" wheel

Rear: 325/25ZR20 mounted on a 20" x 12" wheel

The wheels are HRE, model 898R 3 piece wheels. I selected this wheel both for the spoke arrangement, and because the hardware is hidden on the backside of the wheel. My previous Etoile wheels had the bolts circling the wheel on the outer side (like almost all modular wheels) and it was a pain in the arse to clean around and between the bolts.

The outer hoops are chrome plated (no polishing of aluminum) and the centers are painted to match the car. I'm pleased with the outcome. This will be a very easy wheel to maintain, which was my goal.

Well let's accentuate the positives...the anti-freeze is nice and green.

George. That was one of the very first things I HAD to do with 4903. When I first bought it it overheated a lot. Well I crawelled underneath the car and the original radiator hose had gotten so soft, it collapsed when the pump started really pulling on it. I bought a set of those smurf blue hoses that Halls sells. It was easy and I had it done in a week. One Detom week = one George Pence hour.
It was a really good kit cause the hoses were all the right length already and the clamps were all there and the right size. Real primo stuff.
