Has anybody dealt with a clevor engine ( windsor
block and Cleveland heads. I have been offered a
good price on a 408 Clevor long block, but am curious if all my Cleveland parts ( headers, brackets for the alt and air ) will still fit this motor. Has anybody out there been faced with or applied this engine to their pantera?
Thanks

The 9.5" Windsor deck height vs. the Cleveland 9.2" will push the headers up and out slightly, but it may just be a case of some 'clearancing' with a hammer. That is assuming the 408 has iron Cleveland heads and not Al with raised ports.

You will be faced with re-routing water hoses etc. as per any Windsor installation.
I have a 9.5 deck height Dart Iron Eagle (Windsor style) block with CHI 218cc aluminum heads. Everything fits. The only adjustments were a set of 1/4 inch spacers between the headers and the block. I had a the exhaust system custom fit once the engine was in and the headers were bolted up. Any competent exhaust shop should be able to handle this task. In my opinion a Clevor is absolutely the way to go.
