dome light wiring

Does anyone have a picture of the wires as they are connected on the back of the dome light switch?
I have two lights on my dash. A green one above my gauges. This one is no problem, and another one that is clear above my heater controls. When I turn my headlights on, the light above the heater controls comes on and it is very distracting for night driving. I think it should only come on as a courtesy light when selected by the courtesy light switch or when the doors open.
>> For wires behind my switch I have single violet, double violet, double black and yellow, double black, single black.
>> My switch looks stock with a small picture of a light on it. It has an off and an on position and on the back has six stake-on positions.

CAN SOMEONE TELL ME HOW TO TERMINATE THIS WIRING?

My car is an 01/72 2463.

The light you are referencing comes on with the parking and headlights. It is to illuminate the switches on the console.

on mine the leading edge has been blacked out so that the light shines down the console not out into the cabin.
