The 71 Pushbutton has potential. It really needs a thorough inspection from someone knowledgeable in Panteras. If it's rust-free and there's no hidden issues (prior accident damage, ZF problems, etc.) then that would be a good price.

The other car is another story - it looks like a fresh coat of paint over a rusting through body. Run Forest! Run!
Yea, "survivor" is being used rather loosely.
Having said that I mostly agree with Garth66. From what I can see from the pics, the body looks fair. If the engine and trans check out, then the car has potential. I do think $29,500 is a little high but not completely out of line.
You could drop 10K in having it done right (body/paint/interior) and not get hurt.
Have the engine and trans checked out.
I would look very closely at that car and do it, as Garth suggests, with someone who knows Panteras well. I don't like the look of the inner top of the rear back panel (at the edge where the rear deck closes). Either someone troweled on the filler (or tar?), or it was smacked and repaired badly. The hallmarks of a fast and sloppy paint job are everywhere (and a poor color-match on the rear deck). It does have the rare original windscreen trim (often wrecked on removal and replaced with later pieces), but has replacement (later) "Pantera" script (it should be the Panterd version). I love the single-slot wheels.

If the car is solid and rust-free, I'd say it's worth considering. It would be a long project to make it a concours car, but it will always be a Pushbutton, which is a small group. If solid, you're almost at "driver" status now, so just reliability issues to check and deal with (if any).

Good luck!

Good eye on the script and rear details

Were there PB cars build, without the B-pillar handle to unlock the decklid? Apparently yes, judging on the pictures, or??

I thought that the Euro PB's had the B pillar release, and the US PB's had the exterior release, with some possible exceptions.

#'s 1296 and 1333 (both PB's) live near me, and both have the exterior release.
