So I'm going through all the electrical gremlins in the car which includes, no reverse lights, no courtesy lights, and no headlights. I'm probably a novice at electrical systems, but I have done some work.

I'm going through and replacing as many bulbs as possible just to take that out of the equation. I also just installed Jon's ATO fuse panel which fixed the electric fans which I don't think were coming on. I have a Headlight controller being shipped out from Jon also.

Headlights: I haven't gone through it yet but there are also aftermarket foglights installed. Thinking of disconnecting these first to see if that changes anything.

Reverse Lights: Haven't tackled this yet, just replaced the bulbs with known working bulbs, which were on the turn signals. Is the reverse switch located inside the shifter area, so basically i need to remove the gate to get at it? Or is it located somewhere on the transmission?

Courtesy Lights: I pulled out the drivers door light assembly and it was corroded and the spade on the assembly where the connector matched up was broken off and stuck in one of the wires connectors. So obviously there is no connection there. I've briefly gone over some diagrams, but would the rest of the courtesy lights not work, if the connection was broken to the drivers side door light. I'm guessing the passenger side door is in the same shape, but I'll have to pull the car out to get at that door. Lastly does the dome light cover snap off, how is it removed? I'm just hesitant to yank on plastic parts made in the 70's because they are usually so brittle.

The reverse light switch is on the driver's side of the ZF on the side of the box which the shift linkage is attached. Can't be much easier to get to than that. The stock one is a little gray boxlike device.
Dome light cover pops off. Careful. As to my knowledge there is no direct replacements available but there are some lights that come pretty close.
Wiring drawings are available at PanteraPlace website. Darn good ones at that!
The grounds on these cars are notorious for being problem areas. I would start with cleaning all the ground points. There is common ground up under the dash which might be looking at.
Back-up light switch ...

The back-up light switch is mounted on the ZF transaxle where the shift lever shaft enters the unit. There is a "box" on the left side of the transaxle just above the left rear transaxle mount. The switch (a sort of heart shaped box) which has two wires coming from it, is threaded into that shift lever "box".

Husker, arguably the most complicated wiring area of the car is the courtesy lights. Both door lights and the dome light are series wired together like cheap Christmas-tree bulbs. So if one goes bad, they all go out. The open circuit can be the dash courtesy-light switch, either of the door-open switches, a corroded fuse or one of the 3 light sockets themselves. The dome light wire runs up in the upholstered panel above the pass. door and sometimes gets damaged. FWIW, dome light bulbs are commonly available double-contact torpedo-bulbs, and if you still have the OEM dome cover, you'll be astounded at the extra light you get (once its working) by putting on a new lens. Over time, they yellow and get very brittle. Finally, lots and lots of odd wiring problems come from the nut holding all the ground wires on a central ground lug under the dash. Its actually the backside of the battery ground in the front trunk, and the multiple under-dash connections are visible when the console gauge panel is removed. Wire-brush everything shiny and tighten up the nut often fixes things.
Our names are too similar Husker, you get called Hustler, I get called Husker Smiler Boss thank you for the valuable insight, the images aren't showing up, but the inner door light housings were completely corroded along with the old light. I'm going to fix the wires and try to get some new or used housings in better condition from the vendors. Can you guys tell me how to properly pry the cover off the dome light?
