A member of the forums, Panterror, came up with a brilliant idea; using the "Custom Member Title" and "Signature" fields of our member profiles to embed links to our Pantera photo albums.
I would like to encourage each Pantera owner to create and maintain a thread in the photo forum about your Pantera. Many of you have already done so, but many of you haven't. Once you create this photo thread about your car, that thread will have a unique url (web address) which can be linked in your profile using UBB code. Take a look at my custom member title just above my avatar, and my signature line at the very bottom of my post.
Its a great idea, now anybody can check out the pictures of my car every time they run across one of my posts anywhere in the forum.
The advantage of placing the link in the custom member title is that its automatic, whereas you must remember to check a box each time you start a thread or each time you post a reply in order for the signature line to be added to your post.
The code for embedding the link in you custom member title looks like this:
[uyour description of the link/u]
I've doubled the brackets around the code in places so it would remain visible, in application you will not double the brackets anywhere. Computer savvy guys will notice I've mixed HTML with UBB, the HTML code was necessary to underline the link in the custom member title.
The code for embedding the link in your signature line looks like this:
[your description of the link]
I'll be glad to help anyone who wants to add this feature to their profile. I hope you'll join Kelly (Panterror) and I in embedding these links in our profiles, I think it will be a powerful addition to our forum as a way to share pictures of these beautiful cars with visitors, and with each other.
