Last Friday we had our annual Employee Car show in conjunction with our weekly Beer Bash at work. Lots of fun indeed, and a good turn out - twice as many cars as we had last year (the inaguaral car show and friend and I organized). And, the Pantera generated a lot of questions and interest. Even had one guy who insisted that they were originally offered as kits. Ha! It took a bit of time, but he's a bit more knowledgeable on Panteras now.

Anyway, a good time was had by all.

Weekly beer bash at work? Car shows? Where do you work and where do i apply for a job?

Hahaha... I am fortunate! I work for a GREAT company called Network Appliance in Sunnyvale, California. We're a young company (14 years), profitable, and growing!
The engineering organization sponsors a Beer Bash event every Friday at 4:00 with beer, wine, hot food (usually themed - Mexican, Indian, American, Pizza, etc). The event is designed to promote mingling, sharing ideas, and the generation of new ideas. I have found that if I haven't been able to get on someone's calendar or get an answer on an issue, I can usually find them at Beer Bash and get what I need.

The car show is an annual event that my buddy with the red 66 Chevelle and I started last year. He's the brainchild and did most of the legwork. Next year we expect it will be a company-wide (Sunnyvale at least) event.

Anyway,it was a great event, and NetApp is a great company to work for! Check out our website for current job postings and be sure to let me know if you apply for any position. A referral bonus would help me with Pantera upgrades.

Cheers!
