and I am nervous as a kid. Last year everyone went nutsoid over the car, but that was when she was all tarted up with Hall Ultra wheels and stuff. This past year I put the originals back on and went for the original ride height and general pantena look. I want to see if everyone loves her as much without her make-up on. SO far it seems like they love her for who she is and the falsies didn't really matter. I will let you know what the verdict is later. Is it true love?? Or just lust???

I will try but I don't have a camera. I will see if I can talk my lab tech into using the company camera. Wink
The CEO of the company checked it out pretty closely. He liked it a lot because he remembers them from back in the day. I offered to give him a ride in it after the show.
Who knows?? I may even get a pay raise out of this??? Big Grin
Ok, initial results are in. The tally is that if someone was old enough to remember the original Pantera cars, they like the factory original look. Young people like the big wheels and jacked up look. Being as we have more old folk than young, the car show was a big success. But next year I am going to try and figure out if there is a way to combine both concepts.

What is this water rust issue you speak of?

I thought this was the way to do it. I'm so lost Confused

Mark a Pantera is never supposed to get wet. They didn't undercoat the insides of the frame. A pantera will crumble into a pile of rust if you wash it with water. You have to use special cleaners and stuff. Never wash a Pantera.

DT, how do I know if I have a male or a female Pantera? You keep refering to "she"?
Is there a flap in the rear that lifts up and I can check it?
Is it designated in the serial number?
Is it the tone of the tire squeal?

It is an old habit Doug. All boats are refered to as female. "Bring her about". It is just the way it is. There are no male Panteras. That is why there are no more new Panteras. They never reproduced. Frowner

I'd be able to have a second Pantera :-)

Actualy you could just tell the preson that no it wasn't a kit and you had to fabricate every inch of that car by hand. It took you ten years od patient body work and fabrication but you thought it had turned out ncely. Then you offer to build one for them for a mere one million dollars.
