The Pantera came with a 351-C (for Cleveland) engine of 5.7 liter size. The other choice was a 351-W (for Windsor) of the identical displacement.. The Windsor has an aluminum nose section housing the cam etc, and the two bolts holding the fuel pump on are horizontal. The Cleveland has a flat steel plate bolted to a cast-iron extension to the main block, and the two bolts holding the fuel pump on are vertically oriented. The Cleveland is the more powerful, and desirable, of the two engines although anything can be modified..
