On the back of the engine block, where the oil pressure sender screws into the block, you will find a casting symbol. If the symbol is CF, you have a US manufactured motor. If the symbol is GF, you have an Australian motor.

Since your motor is rebuilt, the rebuilder could have painted it black. But, yes, originally, the late model Austrlain Clevelands were painted black with silver valve covers & air filter assemblies.

DOH!!! I knew it. Ilooked right where you told me to and it didn't have any letters, just the number 6 with a dot below it. Then I looked over at the heads and they both had a number 4 with dots below them and the drivers side 4 had an L behind it. I bet theis thing was made it bangladesh or somewhere and put together by child labors. That is why they put numbers on it so the little kids could put it together. I got ripped off. Oh well, sometimes you get what you pay for. I feel sorry for those little kids. Probably work them twelve hour days for just a bowl of rice. This sucks.
