Over the winter, I removed, rebuilt and re-installed the 351C in my Pantera. All things considered, it all turned out pretty well. That said, I have a couple of nagging problems. The most irritating is about every third or fourth time I shut the engine down, I get a revolution or two of run-on. It is intermittent and brief but it is definitely there. I am speculating about the cause and cure and need help. Is it possibly a timing issue? Too much advance at idle?? Fuel issue? Spark plug heat range issue. All of the above have been suggested. Anyone have any thoughts or solutions?

Thanks,

Joel

What type of ignition setup are you using? People have experienced this after converting to full MSD setups. There is a diode that needs to be installed to prevent this. Also the fans sometimes produce enough juice to keep it running. I am no expert on this, but if you did change to an MSD setup you could search this forum, it has been addressed here. If you use the search funtion type in "diode" and you get about a dozen responses.

Good luck
