My next question would be why would
you put a Chevy engine in a Pantera?
Isn't that blasphemy in Pantera Terms.
Dennis

Lack of money. Chebbies are cheap. It is like having a bic lighter instead of a zippo. The chebby motor breaks, you just through it in thenearest trash receptical and buy you a new one.
Dont laugh guys.
The fastest Pantera in our Pantera Club is a Chevy engined one ....no one has eagualled his time around Kylamy International Race Track. He has 4x, yes four Panteras with Chevy motors fitted.. and yes they are cheap,- thats the point,- much more parts avaible, more options, smaller, lighter, dizzy in the right place, more space for a decent set of 180's, no oiling system hassles and yes it mayb down in value for the purista out there but he says his never going to sell them anyway so why worry.......( a built Chev 383 stroker +- 550 ps is a doddle and cost almost less than just a stroker kit for my 351C....)
Dont get me wrong. Iam a Ford fan...we all know, Chevy followed Ford design wise all they way after the 351C came out, but what the hell....its a pretty damn good 'copy' at agr8 price....and you can change the plugs when fitted with a good 160 exh., which I cant do with my 351C....

Actualy I had heard that Ford Copied the chebby open chamber rat head for the Cleveland engine.
Tai, I certainly hope that you are not suffering from some type of a nervious breakdown with this Chevy talk.

Chevies are the uggliest color orange immaginable. Even a worse shade then the Home Depot orange.

The Webers don't even fit right on the engine. The intake runners are siamiesed together in the lowest, vialest, uneducated and unengineered way possible.

If I can't talk you out of this GM attrocity can I at least hope that you will paint the engine blue?
Hey Pantera Doug.
Read my post agin....I was ansering Dennis/Downunder why the dude and my mate instaled chev motors, - I didnt say I did. And colour is a personal choice anyway,..and thats not my car.
Regarding chev vs Ford, Iam sure u know that when the 351C's came out there was NOTHING to come close, even after Chev copied the Clevland head design they couldnt catch the FORDS...and the Fords were weight - penalized for a long time to try and let the chevies catch up..... Read about it in detail on this fine Website.
What colouer is your car may I ask ?
Best regards.
