Does anybody have a picture of their evaporator on a bench where I can see what the connection lines should look like. I am thinking mine has had an extra tight turn added to it.

That isn’t a tight turn, that is a frightening kink in the pipe and it looks like you would be lucky to have 40% flow capacity.
if that was mine I would seek out a skilled AC shop and see if they can do a cut off and replace repair.

Here are the input and output tubes of the evaporator in the car. Your output tube is definitely bent. It looks like someone dropped it accidentally and bent the tube. Since it is out of the car it can likely be repaired as Larry suggested.

Also, yours might be bent at a 60 degree angle where it comes out of the coil. The tubes in my photo are parallel.
There are usually a few floating around for sale, it's not an item everyone needs. Mike Mayberry has had one n eBay that hasn't sold for $24, that maybe an easier starting point, or replace with a modern one and upgrade your AC.
