I’ve got an evaporator / heater core assembly that I received in a bunch of parts.

It has all of the air ducting boxes, fan and squirrel-cage blowers, and lots of other stuff assembled onto it.

I’m wondering if anyone with any experience knows whether it would be a wise move to clean it up in preparation for a swap with the one that I have in 5357…

I’m not sure that there’s really anything wrong with the one in my car, so would I be going to it through a lot of trouble for nothing?

I’m planning to convert to R-134 (maybe), or maybe I should try to get some R12 type refrigerant and run it.

I’ve got a Sanden rotary compressor installed, but no lines are hooked up.

Advice?  Sure would be nice to have AC here in sunny Arizona!
