I noticed the small perspex plate with the name Zagari on it. The only link I have with that name is Franco Zagari. But he was an author of carbooks. I know he did some books on Stanguellini, Ferrari and Bugatti I think. I doubt he ever ordered a one-off and even if he did, would De Tomaso have been an obvious choice?

Well, maybe not. For a Deauville, I just think the top edge of the fender is too sharp, the side is too straight (deauville seems more rounded) and the ridge along the fender is placed too high.
