Just wondering if anyone's ever heard anything about the whereabouts or history of this car. It was loaned to Frank Williams and Piers Courage when Frank's outfit were campaigning the Tipo 505 De Tomaso Formula 1 cars in 1970. The following passage I found in the recent Piers Courage biography (note - FW always referred to De Tomaso as Tomato!):

The De Tomaso Mangusta road car that Piers and Frank shared in England provided both men with a lot of fun

“Tomato loaned us a Mangusta,” says Williams. “It was a dangerous beast, but Piers was quick in that car. He came back stinking from the brakes. He had come from Essex – 104 miles in 88 minutes or something – and there were no motorways in those days. It was something quite extraordinary. Young men had big egos for cars!”

“Piers used to come up and stay with me in Huntingdon,” says Charles Lucas. “He had a De Tomaso and the police were always pulling him over. Piers tried to persuade them to be taken for a ride in it instead of booking him…”
