All the Pantera vendors have their own flavor of exhaust, but for starters, you need to verify whach headers you're currently running. If they are the partly-stamped-&-partly-tube type, be aware that these WILL crack at the junction of the stampling & tubes; if welded, they will still crack due to thermal expansion. So you'll need headers. If what you have are the full tube type, you may get by with only the integral exhaust pipe/muffler sets. Factory GTS exhaust pipe is 2-1/8" approx. dia; others are up to 2-1/2". The sound produced is a personal thing. Some like it a little noisier than others so you'll have to find a system that pleases you. The easiest way is to attent a big Pantera meet like Las Vegas in April- there are usually 200+ cars there, no two identical.
My headers are ceramic? coated long tubes, but they seem to be only about 2" at the flange,(which is three bolt). This still seems too small. Does anyone make headers with a bigger flange? I guess if they did it would not bolt to the stock type exhaust pipes though. I've heard the Hall Pantera big bore mufflers, they seem pretty loud. Are they my only option? Thanks, Carter
