I have decided that I am going to take off my Hall Big Bore exhaust system and have it ceramic coated again, rather than replace it. I had it done probably 12 - 14 years ago it is still in good shape but looking kind of "tired". Whay is the best way to seal the manifold to the block? I have had trouble with leaking there over the years. My former mechanic passsed away so I can't ask him, whatever he did has lasted about 8 years or more. Looks like he has a fibre gasket /metallic gasket /fibre gasket sandwich going on.

Any suggestions?

thanks

I run the felpro race gaskets on my turbo engine. They take more heat and pressure than normal gaskets. They have a metal ceramic core and will not burn out.
Part number 1416

I have also used stock gaskets on headers. I usually use two per side and they have seemed to seal fine. This might be the metal-fibre-metal you are seeing.
