For sale: 1984 factory GT-5, chassis #9313, converted to Group 5 re-creation.

There were *very* few Panteras originally built to exploit the limits of Group 5 regulations in the late 1970's and early 1980's ... and fewer that still exist today. So this is a unique way to start mixing it up with Porsche 935s and the like!

Chassis for sale at $35K. Multiple engine(s) and options available separately to complete to your specs. Located in Los Angeles.

Kirk,

It was red as it was pulled from the sands of Saudi Arabia back in 1997.

It was then set-up to race in the UK AutoItalia series and ran with the steel GT-5 body. But later molds were made of the original GT-5 body and the front/rear were re-cast in composite one-piece clips for racing. The original GT-5 steel front went to Sweden to "refurbish" a street GT-5. And the rear steel bodywork was shipped to the USA and then later sold.

But maybe you have some info on the car prior to that time?

Dave,

The vin sounded familiar, sorry for the confusion. I spent some time looking through some testing documents today and found the cert work for 9311 and 9317. 9314 was on one of the compliance letters to DOT I got from the factory in 87.

I should post the 3 old compliance detail letters that were signed by Alejandro. The cars listed were saved from export or worse, the crusher because of the letters.

Again, sorry for the confusion.
