I can't fine the fan relay(s)on my early '72. The fan wiring has been cobbled up, the thermostat is disconnected and both fans run (at less than full speed) whenever the ing. and fan switches are on.
Now that I live in Florida, I want to improve the current setup until I can upgrade the radiator and fans. My plan is to provide power to both fans through relays activated by the ing. sw. Power from the Amp meter would be routed through fuses #11 and 12 to the motors whenever the ing. on. If I could find them I might be able to use the stock relay(s). This approach disables the dash fan sw.
Where should the fan relay(s) be? Is my approach sound?

The fan relays are mounted on the front of the front trunk, on the right side, near the radiator. I hope they're still there as they're pretty expensive to replace. Check your wiring connections too, as many Panteras have so much resistence in the stock wiring that the relay outputs only allows maybe 6 or 7 amps, so adding big powerful 12-amp fans does nothing in terms of moving more air.
