Here is my freshly rebuilt ZF transaxle getting ready to go back into my 74 Euro Pantera. The rebuild from Wilkinson includes a new 3.77 ring and pinion, new .620 tall 5th gear, new pinion bearing #403, new 4 point bearing #423, a new 2nd gear (synchro hub was damaged), several other new bearings, all new seals and gaskets. Not long ago it got a brand new 70% locking differential. This car is setup with CV axles. I am looking forward to a smoother and quieter transmission.

Tom Todak is a member of OCPanteras and knows Lloyd Butfoy well.  At our meeting last week Tom said that if you call in the morning Pacific time Lloyd normally answers the phone.  The last time he was at Lloyd's shop he said there were about 20 ZF's lined up for rebuilds.  Tom also noted that there is a lot of demand for new RBT transaxles and ZF rebuilds from the GT40 world.  I know that Wilkinson plans on supplying GT40's with his forthcoming GTT transaxle offering.

Yes.  It is called GTT (Grand Turismo Transmissions).  Most of the parts are interchangeable with a Pantera transaxle.  The cases are stronger than Pantera.  You can order one with 3.77 or 4.22 (stock for most Panteras) ring and pinion, and stock Pantera gearing or a higher 5th gear .620 or .645 tall gear.  The differential is 70% locking (stock was 40%).  It is available for Pantera or flipped over for GT40.  Here are photos of it setup for GT40.
