Front Spindle

Does anyone have the measurements of a front spindle ?
(Or is willing to go out and measure yours for me ?)

I'm looking for the diameter of the spindle at the points where
both the inner and outer bearing ride. I have the "cotter and
crown" or L version of spindle.

Why ?

I noticed some galling on the inside of the old bearing. Not what should roll, but the surface between the inner sleeve of the bearing and the spindle.
It appears that the complete bearing has been rotating on the spindle, as there are very slight markings on the
corresponding sections of the spindle too.
The galling has brown streaks and blue/purple streaks.

New bearing does not seem to fit too loosely on the spindle, but is not a press fit either.
