I have just heard that all the final details of the Las Vegas Fun Rally transfer to the Orleans Casino and Hotel have now been officially resolved and it is now a definite ‘go’ for the April 27-May 1 event.
I am sure this was no easy task. The organizers had enjoyed over twenty years at the Plaza, and the arrangements for the room packages, secure parking, ballroom display, hospitality area and bar, vendor display area, Saturday’s technical discussion meeting room, dinner and awards event and so much more was well established and thus reasonably easy to repeat year after year.
This year all of that had to be re-negotiated with the Orleans. I am sure the headaches were numerous, the challenges great, and the pressure intense. But Fun Rally 2005 is going to happen.
All old timer and newbie DeTomaso Family members should remember this event is NOT put together by the POCA Board, but by a small group of dedicated members.
Without Bob and Carol Reid, Gary and Cindy Roys and Kent and Sandi Snyder there would be no Fun Rally 2005. We owe all of them a BIG ‘ Thank you!”
