I have a locking device that attaches to the old worn out gas shocks, when locked as in the pic, it holds up the hood just fine.
Anybody know where to get another one of these?
I was looking in e-bay but forgot what they are called.

Here's one version. No personal experience with it. I think Snap-On sold one at one time but I couldn't seem to find in their catalog.

Apparently some Advance Stores have a different version (part #8200 I think) that's long and requires releasing before closing the hood/decklid but maybe stays affixed along/around the length of the decklid shock.

The gas shocks are cool enough, what is really impressive was the engine bay.
