Has anyone created a rear engine glass hatch (ala Ferrari) for their Pantera? Does anyone know what the Ferrari rear engine glass is made from?

Sorry, I don't have any shots with the decklid closed. It was taken during the Birch Bay event last year. Hopefully someone on this forum will know who the owner is and can post a pic for you and provide more details. I do know that the lid is made of fiberglass. He has the original, still in tact.

I would guess make it out of some tempered glass. Lexan scratches so fast, and it might discolor from the heat.
If not glass then Polycarbonate - definitely.
Most other clear plastics are thermoplastic - meaning they would melt from the heat. Polycarb is Thermoset - but may discolour under extreme heat or even bubble and char.
Lexan is a good start - but you could also try products called Makrolon or Rigidex.
Maybe a hard coating could be applied to stop scratching - like with spectacle lenses?
